Privacy Policy — FillButler
Last updated: 15 June 2026
FillButler is designed to keep your data on your own device.
What FillButler stores
- Profiles (column-to-field mappings, URL patterns, capture rules) — saved in the browser's extension storage (
storage.local). - The CSV you load and the results of a run — held in extension storage only for the duration of your work, so a multi-page run can resume after each form submit.
- Your license key (if you have one) — stored in
storage.localand verified offline on your device. It contains the email it was issued to and an expiry date; it is never sent anywhere.
What FillButler does NOT do
- It does not send your CSV, profiles, results, license key, or browsing data to any server or third party.
- It contains no analytics, tracking, or telemetry.
- License checks happen entirely offline — no activation server, no phone-home.
- It does not read pages other than the one you explicitly run it on.
Permissions and why
storage— save profiles, run state, and the offline license key locally.activeTab+scripting— inject the form-filling logic into the page you choose, when you choose.webNavigation— detect in-page (single-page-app) navigation during a run so fields keep filling as a multi-step form advances. Used only while a run is active; no browsing history is stored or transmitted.- Host access (
https://*/*,http://*/*) — optional, requested per-site only when you start mapping or filling on that site.
Data retention and deletion
All data lives in your browser. Removing a profile, clearing a run, removing the license, or uninstalling the extension deletes the associated data. Exported profile files are created by you and stored wherever you save them.
